This new decal sheet from Cutting Edge Modelworks includes markings for two different 1/48 A-20's.

The first aircraft is a A-20J with the 410 BG/ 647 BS.  The paint scheme is Olive Drab on top and Neutral Gray on the underside.  There are patches of Medium Green on the leading edge of the tail.  The rudder control, surface is black and white striped.  This plane has D-Day stripes on the lower rear fuselage and on the top and bottom of the wings.  The artwork on the side on the nose is a beautiful topless blonde in a sitting position with her breasts fully exposed and the yellow text "Mama Lou" next to the artwork.  The artwork for this aircraft has a white decal to go underneath the noseart decal.  On the side of the rear fuselage are the white code letters "6O B", but the decals have "6Q B".....I'm not sure which is correct, but the "Q" can easily be trimmed into a "O".  These could also be "SQ B"....but again...no matter which you choose...the decals can be trimmed to match your choice.  This plane has a HUGE amount of mission markings.  The prop spinner cones are yellow.

The second aircraft is a A-20J with the 410 BG/ 644 BS.  The paint scheme is Olive Drab on top and Neutral Gray on the underside.  There are patches of Medium Green on the leading edge of the tail and on the sides of the tail.  The rudder control, surface is black and white striped.  This plane has D-Day stripes on the lower rear fuselage and on the top and bottom of the wings.  The artwork on the side on the nose is a young boy in a leather flying helmet and the yellow text "Bill" next to the artwork.  The artwork for this aircraft has a white decal to go underneath the noseart decal.  On the side of the rear fuselage are the white code letters "5D G".   The prop spinner cones are red.

The noseart decals are delicate and two are included for each plane in case you mess up the first ones.  Exacting instructions are included on how to prepare and install these decals…..read these instructions carefully to avoid disaster.  Apparently these noseart decals are very thin and need special care, but once installed they will look very accurate and realistic.  The nose art decals are printed on a one piece decal sheet, so you’ll need to cut the decal free from the rest of the decal film…..patience is the key here.  The noseart decal is beautifully printed with fantastic detail and lovely shading.

The instructions are clear and include 2 views of each aircraft and an extra page of text instructions with a small bit of info about one of the planes as well as helpful tips for decal application.

A very nice decal sheet and  sure to please the lucky 300 people that manage to buy one of these limited edition sheets.
