This decal sheet
permits the modeller to build any of 8 Canadian Spitfires (June to Dec
1944) depicted on this sheet. All these 8 planes carry some sort of
D-Day Stripe on them. This decal sheet is high quality in printing
and is perfectly in register. There are even white decals to go
under some of the decals with white on them, in an effort to make sure
those decal's white areas are white in appearance when the decaling is all
complete. The instruction sheets are VERY extensive in nature (as
you will see below). The planes covered in this decal sheet are: |
|
-
1)
Johnnie Johnson's JE-J Jr. (his back up plane) (MK 329) Spitfire Mk
IX, 144 Wing (this plane was famous
for carrying a beer keg on one of the wings bomb racks for re-supplying beer
to the men under Johnnie Johnson's command)
-
2) Wally
McLeod's 2I-E (MK 636) Spitfire Mk IX, 443 Squadron
-
3) William
