F-86K Sabre Dog, Venezuelan
In 1965 the Venezuela Air Force (FAV) bought 74 German F-86K Sabre Dog jets from the German Luftwaffe, replacing the already obsolete and aging English DH Vampires in the Fighter Squadrons.
The F-86K were withdrawn from service in 1974, here you can see a picture showing the original F-86K serial number 0056 in service. I also show two pictures of this aircraft (0056) posing
on a post in a roundabout in my hometown Maturin, Venezuela.

To build my
model: F-86K Sabre Dog 0056, I used the 1/48 scale kit: F-86D Sabre Dog from
Revell, made a lot of “scratchbuild” modifications to adapt it to the F-86K
of German origin, the paint used is acrylic from Model Master; the decals are
homemade, although I also used some from the own model.
